This group is focused on 'Malaria on Stamps'. The group is much more than just
stamp collectors collecting pretty stamps with mosquitoes on them. We are the
experts in this specialized area of topical collecting. There are only a few of
us but we are growing. Topical collecting is growing in general and with the
Internet allowing us all to communicate much more easily (and share images),
gathering information has become a much easier task.
There is a goal for the group - to create a "Malaria On Stamps" catalog.
This is not a simple checklist of catalog numbers from Scott, we will also
concentrate on Proofs, Varieties, Trial Colors, Errors, Deluxe Sheets, Malaria
Cancellations, Special Postmarks, FDCs, etc. We need to closely look at all
items and start to look for minute differences and make notes of them. The
catalog will be an online catalog that will consist of information from over
100 reference materials and items from many collections. We are looking for
help in this venture. Please look at the following page for an example of a
catalog page. We are sure that this page
is missing proofs, errors,
different FDC cachets, different FDC cancellations. We need your help. We are
looking for information and also images so that we may add to the catalog.
