Welcome to the revived Malaria Philatelists International (MPI). It has been 20 long years and it is about time that the club
was back in action. There has been a lot of activity over the last few decades. EBay and other online stamp venues have a few
hundred malaria items for sale each week. There have been a lot of new archival material related to malaria on the
auction block including the UNPA Archives a few years back, and in April 2007,
the "ARCHIVES DES TIMBRES-POSTE SUISSES ET ETRANGERS" sale
at David Feldman had some incredible malaria proofs for sale from Ceylon, Philippines, Congo, and a few others. There
will be an article describing the items in a future Miasma.
Mike Birrer and myself (Larry Fillion) have been scanning hundreds
of items to be included in the Malaria Catalog. This is an ongoing endeavor that was started 25 years ago and still needs a lot
of work. We will need your help.
I also exhibited for the first time a few weeks ago in Boxborough, MA at a WSP event and received a Vermeil and a Silver
for my first two malaria exhibits. Please see the exhibits online on the Exhibits page.
