Over the past few years, I have recieved these large postcards from the Mosquito Squad. The following is taken from their web site: "Mosquito Squad was founded in 2005 out of necessity. The lighting designers and installers of our sister company, Outdoor Lighting Perspectives, were continually being bitten by mosquitoes while they installed and serviced their low voltage outdoor lighting systems. The solution to protect these professionals evolved into what we now know as Mosquito Squad. Mosquito Squad is proud to be the most trusted tick and mosquito control company in the United States. We take great pride in helping our clients fight the bite and take back their yards."

On the address side of theses oversized postcards, is a small box with the "PROUD SUPPORTER OF malaria NO MORE" which makes these very nice collectible anti-malaria items. Malaria NO MORE's mission is "Malaria No More is determined to end malaria deaths. We're helping the world get it done by engaging leaders, rallying the public, and delivering life-saving tools and education to families across Africa." The Malaria NO MORE's Partners and Supporters page has Mosquito Squad in the list.

As noted on the postcards "Presorted Standard", these postcards were sent at the presorted letter rate due to their size. The USPS has rules to qualify for mailing at the First-Class Mail postcard price, the item being mailed must be:
  • Rectangular.
  • At least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick.
  • No more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick.
And with these "postcards" being just shy of 8.4" by 11", these advertising cards clearly are not qualified to be sent at the USPS postcard rate.

There are clear differences between the first postcard and second and third postcard:
  • The first postcard does not have the large image of the tick.
  • The first postcard has the message "TRIAL OFFERS, FIRST SPRAY. $59 1/2 ACRE OR LESS ..."
  • The second and third postcards have the message "WE ELIMINATE TICKS, TOO. $50 OFF ... $25 OFF ...
Some of the differences between the second and third postcard are listed below:
  • At the bottom of the large section with the green background:
    • The second postcard has the message
"First time customers only. Limit one coupon per property. Not valid with other offers. Expires 07/31/2014"
    • The third postcard has the message
"First time customers only. Limit one coupon per property. Not valid with other offers."
  • On the address side of the postcard in the boxed area:
    • The second postcard has on the third line: "TARADEL, LLC, 17604"
    • The third postcard has on the third line: "TARADEL, LLC."
    • The second postcard has 22880 to the left of the box.
    • The second postcard has 28404 to the left of the box.
