I am in the process of creating an exhibit for the Philippines Scott 868-870 stamps issued in 1962. Of course, I need to rate all of the covers (postal history) which will be the last section of the exhibit (besides the epilogue). So, the first group of covers will be the ones going to the United States as those are most plentiful. I have been acquiring these for decades and have acquired a nice grouping. So yet again, I am in the need to rate the covers (I have done so for the United States and United Nations in previous articles) and again I'll be using a book from Anthony S. Wawrukiewicz and Henry W. Beecher "U.S. International Postal Rates 1872-1996". This book not only has foreign rates from the United States to foreign counties, but it also has rates for Surface and Air Mail for incoming mail to the United States up to the late 1960s. I have also contacted a few different stamp organizations in order to find out if there are other rate books for Philippines as I have covers going to Canada, Germany, and Japan. But for now, this article will concentrate on covers coming from The Philippines with Scott 868-870 stamps sent to the United States.
